Plantbeeb® works with Floramedia, the market leader in plant labels and communication within the floriculture industry. Starting in 2026, Floramedia will introduce Plantbeeb® to its customers.
The Plantbeeb® QR code can then be directly integrated into the design and production of labels, pot covers, packaging, and stickers.

The smart QR code replaces the traditional barcode
The Plantbeeb QR code aligns with 'The Smart QR Code' project, powered by GS1. This standard will eventually replace the traditional barcode. The first pilot starts in 2026. The Plantbeeb code automatically adapts, requiring no extra work from the grower or retailer.
For the consumer
The Plantbeeb app is free and works in two ways: scan the QR code on the pot, or take a photo of the plant. In the app, consumers can save their own plants, maintain a wishlist, and ask questions to Professor Plantstein.
